I had no problem with what she wrote; there are some problems with masculinity in its present form. My problem is simply that she or any woman cannot be the one to make those changes or even suggest what form those changes should take.

Any real and lasting changes in masculinity have to come from and be engendered by men. These changes have to come from within us or they will only do us more harm than good.

Why can't feminists understand that men deserve the freedom to make their own changes and that there is no way that feminism can do that without remaking masculinity into something akin to itself?

The author talked about boys saying sexual things to girls in middle school like they are the corrupters. As if boys become sexual and mature faster than girls... cmon.

She ignores female encouragement of male competition.

She talks about guys who make women feel uncomfortable with their "hollering" but fails to mention that men are the ones mentally exerting themselves and running the risk of rejection more often in the dating game. And When men are rejected how often the women act rude towards the Guy? How would those women who get uncomfortable about a holler feel in the mans shoe?

it is not coincidental that the recent surge of youth suicides this year were mostly boys.

She now wants to appropriate male suicide under her agenda. I'm sure alot of the troubles for boys has to do with fatherless homes. How about giving boys the support of the father and making that relationship an important part of their identity instead of leaving them to wonder. I'm all for getting rid of homophobia but this chick is not pro boy/masculine in the least bit.
