Lots of good intentions, but a very poorly written piece.

She jumps from one fact to the next, almost contradicting herself. She doesn't say what the difference is between DV and GBV, and doesn't really say exactly how this "We Can Campaign" plans to achieve their goals (other than "let's hold hands together").

What both men and women should recognise is that there is factual and documented evidence that majority of the people who experience GBV globally are women.

I don't know anyone who disputes this claim. Then again, the majority is more than 50%, so that sentence doesn't carry that much information in itself.

But then you have:

Although it is true that some men are experiencing gender violence, there is little documented evidence to prove this claim.

What? She manages to say that men experiencing GBV is a fact, but then that it's just a claim that can't be proven, all in one sentence. And there's another problem: how can there be "factual evidence" that the "majority" of those who experience GBV are women, when she admits there is very little information about men.

Interesting how she conflates the term DV with GBV and tries to claim that because GBV is higher against women that DV is too.

Oxfam, like so many other NGOs (non-gov't orgs.), is a rad feminasty vehicle. It is typical that when men suffer DV, the advice is to "reexamine their masculinity" and speak out. Women, on the other hand, are offered concrete support in terms of laws, policies, and million-dollar lobbying efforts.

It's almost as if they told injured boys that it's all right to cry, but took injured girls to the hospital.
