I think I'm a feminist because I believe in equal rights for men and women (and all people). I will add I am in a culture that does not exactly have equal rights for women so I can attest to how important that really is for a woman.

Anyway I just want to know what are you guys main issues, so that I may understand your points of view as well. I feel like the world is vastly a male dominated world and that men have the upper hand, but I admit I could be not seeing the whole picture and that's why I made this thread.

EDIT: Not like anyone will read this now but... for the record, thanks. I dunno why this didn't show up on the new section so I didn't see these responses till next day. As for culture, I'm a Muslim woman, and in most our societies the women don't have fair treatment in some of our societies women seriously are oppressed. As for another, no I"m not a troll. As for another response, thanks from now on I'll consider myself a humanist rather than a feminist I like that. I do mean to say I believe in equal rights for all regardless of gender, race, sexual identity, caste, etc. anything.
