Why should anybody be loyal to any society, let alone the society in which modern Western men are condemned to live? If you're going to be loyal to anything, be loyal to yourself, your principles, and to friends who have proven themselves worthy.

Treat society the way society treats individuals: take from society everything you can.

I hate bastadization and misinterpretation of scientific disciplines, regardless of whether the movement benefits me or not.

They found that because, historically, women moved about more than men, and so are less related to their neighbours, our paternal and maternal genes are in conflict over how we should behave - with our paternal genes encouraging us to be altruistic whilst our maternal genes encourage us to be selfish.

Bullshit. Women didn't "move around" willy nilly. It's pretty much undeniable that they were moved around by people who basically owned them.

Dowries, arranged marriages, prostitution, etc.

The way I was taught genes are expressed, and are dominant or recessive, not "given" or "received."

This study reveals how such disorders of the social brain can evolve by mutations favouring the expression of paternal genes (favouring altruism) or maternal genes (favouring selfishness).

I would be VERY interested to read the methodology section of this paper to see how exactly they actually measured something like this. Altruism could be dressed up selfishness, and selfishness could be disguised altruism.
