Georgia has more than 17,000 registered sex offenders. Some are highly dangerous. But many are not. And it is fiendishly hard for anyone browsing the registry to tell the one from the other. The Georgia Sex Offender Registration Review Board, an official body, assessed a sample of offenders on the registry last year and concluded that 65% of them posed little threat. Another 30% were potentially threatening, and 5% were clearly dangerous. The board recommended that the first group be allowed to live and work wherever they liked. The second group could reasonably be barred from living or working in certain places, said the board, and the third group should be subject to tight restrictions and a lifetime of monitoring. A very small number “just over 100” are classified as “predators”, which means they have a compulsion to commit sex offences. When not in jail, predators must wear ankle bracelets that track where they are.

In the specific article it doesn't make the distinction between "perverts" and "people who got screwed over". However you will never find any credible accounting of that as those with the means and access to make such an accounting would be doing so against their own self interest.

I have often asked myself the very same question: what is the cost to society of putting thousands of innocent men (many of them teens) in jail and on sex offender lists vs the benefit of saving kids from pedos?

Or another way of putting it: is your kid more likely to have his life destroyed by a retarded DA prosecuting victimless "sex offenses", or by a "lurking predator"?

As Rollinon said, it depends on whether you accept feminist definitions of male perversion. My guess is most of the 'perverts' on the sex offenders register are men who have had consensual sex with teenage girls a year or two under the feminist set age of consent. This is only perverted according to feminists and their pederast allies, such as the senator Mark Foley and others. And of course when they themselves are caught fiddling with young boys they won't get prosecuted because the gynocracy owes them one.
