Kids who are the youngest in their grades are 60% more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD than the oldest children, according to a study out today from Michigan State University.

*Can't society just admit that most of these ADD cases are just kids who aren't mature yet, and the parents and authority figures would rather dope a kid up then spend their energy teaching the kid to manage it themselves.

I know it's a great temporary situation for the authority figures, but in the long run it hurts these kids by not teaching them self discipline and focus strategies.

I believe ADD is real, but is extremely overdiagnosed.

I was always the youngest in my class. Never got diagnosed. My birthday's in ten days, my parents didn't hold me back. I was actually smarter than 90% of my grade anyway, with no attention problems... so I don't know what this means to me.
