I haven't always gotten along with my parents perfectly (who has?), but if there's one thing in this world I appreciate, it's their decision to completely ignore all of the people who wanted to "help" me.

We really need to get clear on distinguishing between helping and harming here. You cannot help your child by harming them. You are not in a better moral position if you claim that you are helping your child when you are, in fact, harming them. If your intention to help goes directly contrary to all sane, modern, medical advice, you are harming your child.

This is a clear example of child abuse. It is simply uncontested because it exists under the false veil of intended help from "concerned parents."
