It is not rational to refuse to pay child support. It is not rational for an ablebodied person to refuse to earn a living in order to avoid paying child support.

Sure it is. If I owe $1000 a month in child support, but only make minimum wage, it is perfectly rational for me to not have a job. Before taxes i only make some $1200 a month, and after taxes less than $1000. Either paying or not paying, I end up in the negative. The most rational course of action is to not have a job, and find more "unofficial" ways of supporting myself.

This judge is an idiot of the highest order. He is trying to convince the readers that some humans actually do not understand human reason and only respond to a Pavlovian style repetitive punishment.

Not only that, but he goes on to describe how the jury can be gamed. It is so shameful. I cannot believe any modern country can have such a dangerous fool of a judge on the bench for such a long time.

Any woman who has a child by a deadbeat deserves no sympathy. Same applies to any male stupid enough to impregnate a loser.
