What pisses me off about some people is their obsessive need to pick up and use their phone and social media every 5 seconds. Perhaps this is the reason why she is annoyed?

Case in point: whenever I have friends and family over, the rule of thumb is to put away the damn phone while eating and conversing. It is very disrespectful to do otherwise.

Let's get serious here. When are you texting her? This matters a LOT.

Is your girlfriend sniffing on your phone and speaking out "you're spending too much time on her"? BAD sign. Address it as a shit test and bust it heavily.

Or is it that, when you are together, relying heavily on each other's company, you ignore her and text the girl? That's annoying as fuck. She might be confused about WHAT is causing her to be annoyed (something worth looking at), but she has a point that you should address. Maybe explicitly talk to her about it, apologize for the behaviour and try to keep the girl around so you can still have the dread she provides.

Two questions you need to ask yourself:

Why do you feel the need to text this girl? How important is this?
Why are you in an LTR?

My theory is if you are satisfied with your LTR than you would have no pressing need to text this girl.
