PUA started as an explicit rejection of TRP tenets, it was always about hacking the social order to bypass the things like height, money, status which society tells you to acquire anyway - the things which TRP also tells you to go get.
PUA is about faking/hacking value, TRP is about acquiring value. Ofc more modern pua has absorbed TRP principles, mostly because RSD Tyler has a hard on for self improvement but if you go back to say, the original speed seduction or mystery method the goal was to get some without actually rising up the social order.

Some of those books were best sellers. 60s, 70s and 80s all had best sellers.
Heck, 1940s even. "How to get along with girls" was 100% about frame.
Webber's "How to pick up girls" was in 1970 and stole from red pill authors of the 60s.
Albert Ellis' "the art of erotic seduction" was 1967. Same shit. He was practicing red pill in the 30s, using day game. He wrote "sex without guilt" in the 50s.
Ellis invented REBT to combat anger mode and shyness. Forever ago. Great book on why dudes snap and MGTOW and how to prevent it cognitively.
Ellis laid out abundance mentality in REBT using his ABCDEF method of dealing with useless negative emotions and then grasping abundance.
This shit was 1950-1960.

Thanks man! I'm wondering they might lack TRP's aversion to PC because of their age. That's a pretty solid point and one of the tenets of the sub, isn't it? Anyways not being from US myself I ended up having to filter a lot of anti-feminism out, although not all of it. But that pushed me away from the sub more than once, and is a strong reason I avoid propagating the "label".
Are them worth reading these days or have them been fully assimilated by other PUA and sidebar authors?

TRP the subreddit was literally created by pk_athiest.
TRP as a body of knowledge or a group of men has many authors and no father. There are a group of us who raised that barn together, but there's no one person you can point to and say "he, and he alone, laid the cornerposts".
