I know how tempting it is to just let your behavior speak for you when you are too afraid to use your words. However, don't fall for this trap. Don't act out because you are afraid to speak out. Don't be afraid of her emotions. you are not responsible for holding other people's feelings. No matter what you do right now, you are going to need to learn how to let other people be emotionally wild (cry, scream, whatever) and not have it affect you. It is bad and somewhat stupid to just innately mirr…

Interesting enough thought experiment. Not sure it proves the point you think it's making though.

Well she's sexualizing the conversation so what does your brain tell you she wants? "What are you looking for" you can literally say anything here and have it fit

Worrying what other people think is "gay". You should have the confidence to get the hair style you want without worrying.

Finance is not a good example as there is not enough money in circulation to pay all the current debts. The finance system is incredibly insolvent and basically a dishonest system. When TWO PEOPLE commit to something, one of them is WEAK if they cannot perform.

Monogamy might not be a "natural" state for everyone, but agreements and contracts are. If two people agree to something, they should perform, or voice why they cannot.

The human mind is an operating system and not everybody needs to run an identical configuration to you. You're already making basic assumptions like "This person is a wage slave and doesn't own a 24/7 business" when you say things like "during the week"

Same here. "oh, that thought makes me angry - how interesting." back to meditation. It's a way of accepting your emotions without assigning weight to them.

Again, you failed by engaging them to begin with if they are assaulting you...
/r/askTRP16/06/16 10:15 PM

It's not about any of those...it's about being honest with yourself regarding the state of your own mind. When you have an angry thought, you look at the though, say "Okay" and move on. "Okay, I see now that a particular thought makes me angry. That's interesting. Instead of bargaining, I instantly accept this as information and move on immediately.

TRP is the use of masculinity for the purposes of landing women. It's about being masculine for the purpose of being fully self-realized. Landing women is a side effect of that. How pathetic is it to organize your whole life around landing women? That's not the goal, that's part of the journey.
/r/askTRP14/06/16 08:16 PM

TRP is exclusively about handling sexual strategy. That's one small part of it. TRP is about self-realization and being a man. Sexual strategy is an inexorable part of that. But if you think TRP is only about pussy, you lead a small life.

What I mean is, she doesn't care about meetting up, tonight or tomorrow. She contacted you to see if she's still got it, to see if you're still on the hook, to see if she still has power. She knows now that you are okay meeting up. The discussion of "which is more ideal, tonight or tomorrow" is completely irrelevant. She knows she is welcome in your life. It wasn't necessarily because she wanted to see you. She wanted to know she has options, and you are one.

Go on amazon and buy kettle bells & books. You are not in a good situation right now. The answer to your question is DISCIPLINE. Design some sort of rudimentary routine then FORCE yourself to follow it. The "fix" will happen automatically.

I agree that it was rude. I just don't see the point in trying to police tone. Take what you need from the meat of the post, and move on. He's not here to cradle your delicate sensibilities or make sure your feelings are okay with the advice he's giving. He's here to give the advice, and if being called a bitch is a problem for a person, then maybe that proves the person actually is a bitch.

This is what I don't get. You mean he's the higher value male before he does this therefore he can get the attention of the other person whenever he wants, by walking over me essentially? Yes, he can if you let him. However he's actually opening himself up to all kinds of embarrassment by going on on this limb. Sometimes yes, sometimes no, sometimes the only gift is the time we spend together. Last year we did a hike on my birthday as well as on hers. We'll always do something special or acknowledge the other person's birthday... but gifts flowing from me to her are completely dependent on the unique way I give gifts. I give gifts based on whimsy. I see something that reminds me of the person, and I get them that gift. It's not necessarily related to a time. For christmas I might cook a roast but I don…

Long story short, you teach people how you want to be treated. If someone treats you in a poor way and you don't do anything about it, you have failed to establish a boundary. It's not manipulative, it's something you would APPLAUD women doing to men - drawing healthy boundaries against what is perceived to be toxic behavior. If you reacted negatively to the other party drawing a healthy boundary, then I imagine that the other party would be very happy to go separate ways. That's it.

It frustrates my girl that I refuse to be pampered when I am sick. I don't stop working, I don't go to the doctor, and I don't like special attention. She's always begging me to accept her mothering, but I never do. I know, deep down, that she appreciates this. She's offering motherly love because she wants to help - but subconsciously I think she appreciates me not accepting it.

I do both. For lifting, I do "Ice Cream Fitness" which is basically the fun version of starting strength. For calisthenics, I do yoga. This has really helped my balance and my core strength immensely - I can do poses I never thought I would be able to achieve. Also it completely fixed my back issues. My philosophy overall, is: "Nice body, but what can you do with it?" My goal is to make myself well rounded for every situation that may require physical fitness.

Honestly, bite sized pieces and forcing yourself is the actual answer. I've been trying to train myself to get up earlier and do yoga in the AM. I failed yesterday. I turned on the computer, and got distracted by the web. I failed to even load up a yoga video. I said fuck that. It's her job You were just wrong, I can see where you're coming from but you will always be disappointed, always be angry if you maintain that perspective. "Other people" are not going to look out for your relationship for you. Only you can do that. Trusting a stranger not to bang your whore girlfriend is, for lack of a better term, fucking idiotic behavior.
/r/askTRP07/05/16 09:17 PM

What kind of expression is that? Slack Jaw? Fuck you're skinny Why am I looking at your tooth brush and toliet paper? Why am I looking at your dimly lit house at all? Go to a park Nobody looks attractive in selfie pose. have someone else take an action shot. shows you have friends to help you with stuff
/r/askTRP07/05/16 09:15 PM

Yeah that's reality. If OP passes on that chick, she's still a whore. The relationship is still weak, and over. You're just too much of a pussy to assign blame where it belongs - the girlfriend, for cheating, and the boyfriend, for not being attractive enough to keep her from cheating. OP has almost nothing to do with this. He's essentially a stand in variable - it could be any guy instead of OP, and the girlfriend would still be a relationship-ruining cheater.
/r/askTRP07/05/16 09:09 PM

Maybe you should now establish a habit of fucking listening people who give you advice. I am sure your parents tried to warn you about sleeping and eating but you didn't listen. I would have completely ignored a message that says I didn't stack the plates in alternating colors. That's a bullshit emotional thing that doesn't matter at all, and it does not deserve a written response. If she asked a 2nd time, I'd make her feel bad for wasting my time.
/r/askTRP07/05/16 01:25 AM

I can see the allure but it's kind of insecure and not ideal. Besides you can do this with regular clothes. For example, my a-frame undershirt, a tucked in dress shirt, and a button up vest gives me a very aerodynamic look (v shape) which is akin to compression. The compression is pushing your fat in and it looks like muscle right? You should just work out more. Dress nicely to look nice. You can't fake it with the body or health. Don't waste your time trying. Just put in the work.

Honestly your life is still fine. The past (and the future) are not even real. Only the present moment is real. You can change in an instant. The mind is an amazing thing. For me the key was exercise. If I go longer than 72 hours without exercise, I become mentally dark. Once I learned this about myself, I began to view myself from a detached, outside perspective. Why are you even posting this? It's all extremely basic history that most people know. The OP's opinion piece, comparatively, was fascinating and novel. It'd be great if you gave a criticism of what was written, instead of spouting random semi-related fun facts designed to showcase how much you know about history...it really seems like you only have a surface level education in it. Also, stop ending every post with an ad hoc attack....it just makes you look butthurt and poor at debate. Are you t…

Only someone with absolutely nothing interesting or important to say would respond with "nice circle jerk" to a 20+ paragraph economic thesis. You just look butthurt. Criticize CONTENT, like a brave person. Don't criticize PEOPLE like a coward. If you have an intellectual problem with what was posted, I'd certainly like to hear it. Yelling into the wind is impressing nobody. We don't give a shit if we have your approval. Either ante up intellectually or be written off, there's no third option.

Again, you are bonding the way you'd want someone to bond with you. 1) Realize the game-theory negatives of bonding in this way 2) Realize that she wants you to bond with her in a different way. I recognize that you're trying to have an adult relationship with her, and feel like you're being rebuffed. Don't stop trying, but seriously, pivot tactics a bit. I don't think you've read enough RP material. Can we at least agree that what you're currently doing, isn't working?
/r/askTRP28/04/16 05:42 PM

It's not necessarily dishonest. A speaker tailors examples to his audience. I read people while we are talking and make it a personal game to choose an example that really speaks to them or at least communicates the point successfully. Essentially, in debate, you are using arguments that would work on YOU. That's simultaneously extremely logical and asinine. Read the other person, and pick arguments that will work on them, as they are. Not as you wish they could be. Then you'll win.

Well, you don't have to laud it as a moral goal. You just understand that it exists and use it to your advantage. I love debate, and I love being right. It hasn't gotten me a lot of progress or traction. Appearing to side with the other person, then secretly creating a situation where I convince them my way is best has gotten me way more progress.

I assumed, perhaps mistakenly, that your "debates" with your mom were about permissions of some kind, something you might have wanted from her, or some sort of family business. I didn't get the sense that ya'll were just discussing some local town politics or something else very removed. If you literally can't have a conversation with her about ANYTHING then my advice might be a little misplaced. I have almost no interest in emotional arguments. I can't even think of something emotional I would argue about or how that would benefit me. I realize you feel this way, and I felt as you do for over a decade. only recently have I abandoned my old view that truth was the highest good. If you want to get anything done, you need to use emotional ploys when you interface with less intelligent/mentally dishonest people. That's because you're so focused on being right that you completely forgot that the point is to win. I have this problem too. It seems like "being right" and winning are the same thing, but they aren't even close. You can be 100% technically right and still lose a fight/debate because you acted like a bitch, cried, lost frame, whatever. In the long run, it's not about being right. Medical people misdiagnose or miss a diagnosis all the time, so it doesn't surprise me that they would need terms for "general pain that we don't comprehend" But most individuals walk around saying "I have fibromyalgia" as they would say "I have a cold" But in reality your neighbor's fibromyalgia is a completely different condition from your own...

Friends and peers would really be nice, but the place where I'm hurting most is the lack of a mentor. It is almost impossible to find a true mentor these days. The rare times I have found one, they have literally been hidden. For example, the guy I learned lapidary stone polishing and gemsetting from is LITERALLY a guy that stays underground all day with his collection, he had a kind of cave/house thing. It's not like I can just sign up for that shit, I got lucky finding him.

My philosophy has always been "Nice body but what can you do with it?" if you just want to look nice but have no substance, congrats The goal is to have a body that does something. Heavy ass deadlifts are great because now you can pick up heavy ass weight. But if you also cannot climb onto a roof of a 1 story building, or stand on your hands, or take a really deep stance because you have shitty mobility, then yeah your general fitness level isn't as high as you think it is

Near me there is a group of native americans that lets you come live with them for a week at a time. Time before that I took a week of animal tracking. Pretty rewarding. There were no women there, the only people interested seemed to be men.

I already knew the stuff in the post, so my comment is just going to say, can you even imagine what it's like to go to a popular forum and look at the posts (sailing, houses, gardening, shooting, hang-gliding, whatever) and have the interior monologue "There is someone on this forum that will invite me to do this for free if I play my cards right" I'm all over the internet and generally liked but this just isn't part of the mindset for me. Nobody is talking about returning to a gold standard - the bad guys have all the gold at this late hour. I'm talking about eliminating debt from the fiat currency. Why should there be interest associated when new money enters the system? It is not the same as a personal loan, not even close. We are entitled to a stable currency system that holds it's value. In the last decade the price of most food items have doubled - or - the purchasing power of the dollar has halved. That's fucked up. If noth…

Inflation isn't the problem, debt based currency is. Why does every dollar in circulation have interest attached to it? To whom is that interest being paid? And why are we paying a percentage of our entire M3 to some shadowy figure in return for the priviledge of using currency? The government is supposed to provide circulating currency to us debt free! (not free money, but rather, the money in circulation does not have interest attached to it)
/r/TheRedPill11/02/16 12:39 AM
2

Fiat currency isn't inherently bad - it's just the current system we use is bad. DEBT BASED fiat currency is evil. Why we use a debt based fiat system when we have lawful authority to issue fiat directly out of the treasury, I'll never know. It's so fucking stupid.

Stop trying to have philosophical conversations with people. It's charming to you because you agree with yourself. The women you are texting simply do not care. The kindling model is true and also applies to physical things like the body. I have found that most back problems ascribe to the kindling model - tiny sticks are constantly added until a spark sets them all off, and you "throw out your back"

The pressure flip is quite popular on here. It works on bullies too. Staying calm shows you are not afraid of the other person. Bonus points if they get angry and you're still calm. Then you tell them "Calm down, calm down, no reason to get angry" in a patronizing way. If you want to be that childish. I hate to say it, but there is an art to getting under someone's skin. Having the confidence to think on your feet quickly, and trust that your gut response is a good one, goes a long way. I am wil…

You're under no obligation to be nice to anybody - but sometimes being nice shows that their taunts had zero effect on you. "The best revenge is living well" If people are verbally teasing you, just outwit them. Don't worry about hurting their feelings, they are bullying you. However, be careful about being too mean. It can make you look defensive, and butthurt. Try to be critical of them without being defensive. Almost like you pity them for being so sad that they resort to bullying.

I see. I didn't know that. Then in that case, physical violence would not be warranted. But mental bullying is a bit easier to address, isn't it? It's def the one I would prefer out of the two. I'm hopefully not minimizing your problems, someone making fun of you sucks, but it doesn't actually hurt you unless you let it. You need the self confidence to think "This person has made a wrong assessment of me, therefore their opinion can't be very accurate. Because I am awesome" and suddenly their me…

Yoga class is fucking awesome. It's an intense workout, you sweat a lot, there is a feeling of accomplishment quite different from your standard squat/DL day at the gym, and people are really friendly. People at my gym don't chat much, just some "hi bye" type of stuff, but women at yoga classes will have long "getting to know you" conversations with almost no provocation. Ears pierced in response to an identity crisis is a terrible idea, agreed.

I would just go back to the person you negotiated with, instead of HR, and firmly say "The deal we negotiated isn't going through in good faith. Let's resolve it." This person, much more than HR, should understand your value as a potential supervisor vs you quitting. You will immediately get a feel for if it was them or another party that gave you the cut. If it was them you can usually push back hard enough in the negotiation to push them back to their original deal based on honor etc. Even if …

"Anteing up" is a short-term hand for paying your dues in return for being allowed to remain. Poker players must ante up at the start of every round if they want to play in that round. You feel like if you want to hang out, you need to "pay your share" and entertain others. You need to change your mind so you feel like you inherently have a right to be there.

Also something else I noticed about myself, when I tell a story to the group it's true I am always quite happy inside when I have everybody hanging on, listening to the story. But think about it. I am doing this for self-satisfaction. I am doing it to feel good about sharing my cool experiences with others. I am not "anteing up" so much as backdoor bragging. I'll research it tomorrow. Why not right now? All you have to do is sit and breath with your eyes closed for 5 minutes. It is hard - it might feel more like 30 the first time. In my opinion the problem is that the operating system of your mind is nervous/anxious and isn't okay just being a resting/null/ready state. The entire point of meditation is to stop your mind from running around thinking so many thoughts - instead it should just work on in taking and acknowledging all sensory data. So ins…

Man I like discussing things in person. It's much easier for me to trap people logically than via text, because I can hold them to the points that I feel are important, and they can't be easily dismissed. The opposite is true in online discussions. If someone feels that you scored a point against them, they ignore that part of your argument when they respond.

I did, recently. I was driving down an alley and a woman boxed me in so that I couldn't continue down the alley. She asked me to move, and I said, "I'd be happy to move, but there's no safe way for me to reverse due to the main road being there. Based on our positions, only you can safely move, so you must do so in order for us to both continue on our way." First of all, I respect your choice to wait for marriage or whatever even though I think it is horrendously misguided and inefficient. Only being with one person ever in your life is not a mark of honor or something, it's just weird. That's an interesting experience that you had. If you did any reading on it, (which should be done before trying any psychedelic drug for the first time) you'd probably realize that different people react differently to all psychedelics. There's no "one experience" that people tend to have. Body chemistry, state of mind, and physical environment all play a role in forming the experience. Additionally, pot is even MORE complicated than most psychedelics at the chemical level (it's an upper, a dow…

There's not much evidence for smoking damaging the brain, but it's absolutely not good for the body. However, if you take the "combusted carbon" out of the equation, intaking cannabis as a food is not dangerous. It's the act of smoking that's not good for your health, not the act of getting high.
