Is there a reliable statistic that shows how many proven fake accusations it is in relation to real victims?

I think it is important to raise awareness about the real crime, and the fake accusations. But I have no perspective on the statistic of it, and can not form an informed opinion on the trend.

The scary thing is that the only reason why she was "caught" is because she was stupid and started talking about her crime. "caught" because this is far from over, appeals take time, she will probably get off with a slap on the wrist in 8 months at best.

It makes you wonder how many people do this and then never confess.

Its scary to think about it. Imagine some 40 year old woman thinking "I wonder how that boy is doing I falsely accused of rape. Ah well, that was 20 years ago, he probably forgot it." while said guy has another job interview where his potential employer looked him up and found out he is a "rapist", and subsequently denied him the job.

While her actions are vile to say the least and she should be punished severly and the boys released, I fear that only the actions of the courts will exceed her level of vileness by not letting the new evidence stand. Time will tell, but if the past is any indication of the future one has to be sceptical.
