I commented on this a few days ago in another thread, where a woman in the army had decided two years after the fact..that the sex she had with some other jarhead was really 'rape'

If it takes you two years to coem to the conclusion you were raped.. you weren't raped. Lol.

Because rape laws in many jurisdictions specify penetration by the so-called aggressor. Unless women bring along a dildo (or whatever) this simply can't apply to them. It's disgusting but when the laws were written an inherent bias that only men could be such. But times and behaviors are changing and the laws need to reflect it as well.

I was initially put off by this post because I do think rape is a serious problem. However, after reading the article I can definitely agree with points the author is making. Consent can be a tricky thing if you aren't sure about how you feel, and I don't think that anyone should be forced into sex, but making a mistake is different from being raped. I appreciate that the author distinguished the school of thought for unwanted consensual sex being rape as part of extreme feminism. I would encourage many of the guys on here to consider that as being extreme. Personally, I self-identify as a feminist because I believe that women should be treated as human beings, and I think part of that is realizing that women are people, they make mistakes. At the same time, rape is a very serious issue for women and shouldn't be belittled by calling things that aren't rape rape.
