It could just be my own bias, but does anyone else notice that the charges that are given to women in a particular circumstance seem 'playful' and 'cheerier' or at the very least, less egregious-sounding than the ones given to men? This article lists an example of this.

offensive touch and aggravated menacing? She fuckin robbed a gas station putting a deadly weapon to some ones throat. Who cares if she did it under false pretenses or if she was remorseful after the fact? Thats not an appropriate way to behave, she herself could have called the police if she thought she was being ripped off, or demanded that the employee call his supervisor.

This doesn't make any sense. No she should not have gone off on the guy but how can the police say "they found the twenty in her purse"?

Could have been another $20 bill.

Of course it is possible she only gave them a $1 bill.
