As the person who asked a question about this just a couple of days ago, I believe that the article mentioned to me by word of mouth was this one. The 10% figure is an assertion. The real data is out there. Does anyone want to help me gather some of it? We can nail this down in a jiffy by calling a few hospitals each.

Seems more disrespect to men is considered the proper course of action according to this article and most of the people interviewed in it. Once again, men are at the bottom of the totem pole here, and its "ok".

In the old days when people said boys were "a chip off the old block" or complemented the father on how much his sons resembled them, this phenomenon is exactly what they were talking about. Before genetic testing, it was the only way to know.

As someone whose mother is a notorious whore, I'm really glad I have such a striking resemblance to my father.

I'm a little confused by the situation in the article. The man tells his sons he will always be their father, but not their birth father. He has visitation rights (which the judge apparently revoked) but he didn't want to pay child support. Is that common in these situations when paternity is disproven?

I take it most of the guys on here will do a paternity test when they have kids, and urge their male friends to do the same. I have just a word of advice for you which is very important:

Get a maternity test done at the same time you do a paternity test

The hospital fucking up and you going home with the wrong baby isn't as uncommon as you think (though still rare). No point fucking your life up with your wife claiming she was faithful despite a negative paternity test.
