Well written. I say these kinds of facts to any woman that asks why I'm not ready to get married yet. I even got a "when will your type ever grow up" from one woman. Within a few minutes of the conversation, I got her to admit that she knows THREE women who have been married and divorced (one of them in their third marriage) and aren't even 30 yet. So, I ask, when will they grow up and think before they move on something?

The sad thing is guys don't realise how badly marriage can screw you based on the current legal framework. There's a few guys at work at the moment (I'm in the UK but it's pretty much the same here) who are about to get married and I really wanna warn them but don't know if they'd appreciate it much / take any notice.

The only reason why I'd wanna marry in the UK is that if you don't and you have a kid, your rights as a father are literally no existent. I mean they're bad even if you are married, but if you aren't you have no rights to your children.

I started to get cynical when they would shame me for making the tiniest sexist remark… but would soon afterwards laugh at a cut-off penis joke.
