He needs to just grab her and run. I don't think this would even count as a crime, and once he gets back to Montreal it'll all be perfectly legal.

That man has much restraint. I'm a calm guy, but I don't know what I would do if someone took my daughter.

I hope he get's her back, and that the daughter knows how much he loves her.
