I filed 4 weeks ago, and my lawyer seemed eager. Hopefully a simple divorce, married 9 months, separatedfor last 6 months. We split in Feb, after I 1st filed, after 3 weeks we decided to give it another chance. No assets together, no debt, her stuff is gone

She has and is moved out, all her mail goes to her address. I have stayed with her some, she has never spent the night at my place, After talking about her moving back in, same old issues resurfaced. I wasn't going to live that way.

When I filed lawyer stated that he would hold on to what has proceeded thus far, incase it didn't work. It didn't so I restarted the divorce.

I have tried to be patient with the process, (not trying to burn up my retainer) but I haven't heard a single word from my lawyer, where it's at. What's going on, has she been served etc...

I called him yesterday to ask a few questions but had to leave a voice mail, asked him to call back, he didn't yesterday or today.

Am I being too impatient? Is there something else going on, like he is communicating with her lawyer? Or is lawyer slacking?

What should one do in this situation?

I have been trying to be patient and let the process take its course but..... for how long, and how Long with no word either way, please advise.
