I’m trying to get a better idea of how women feel now about this. Growing up my parents had a traditional relationship where dad was the one who worked and earned and mum raised the kids. I grew up to be quite independent so I didn’t look at my partners potential to be able to provide. I saw it as two completely equal partners. In some ways it would be nice to have more of a traditional relationship, because I’ve seen it work and those women are very well taken care of. I saw it as a man loving his Wife or partner and proving it with actions. Is that bad? I know it’s not very progressive of me. The other issue is that many of my male friends are completely unable to be the financial support for a partner. They are 34 and haven’t got much money to their name, don’t have solid careers and are more into the laid back lifestyle. They don’t in my eyes match up to the men who have sorted themselves out and are capable of offering that. do you ladies have men who take care of things or are you both equal with money, career and assets.
