A common feminist argument is that abortion isn't about avoiding child support.

What if there was a law that levied a tax on abortions. The tax would be paid over 18 years, and the amount would be based on income just like child support. The tax could go to support foster children so it would be "for the good of the child".

Feminists would probably call this tax an assault on women's reproductive rights, but it would be treating women just the same as men, wouldn't it? They wouldn't have to carry the child, but they would still have to pay for it.
