Finland is often seen among the world's leaders in supporting and promoting equality and women's rights.

The first sentence in the article and we have a problem, why "promoting equality and women's rights" ? why the journalist didn't say "promoting equality and men's rights" ? unfortunately the society still consider equality as a "women's thing". clearly not always women is the victim and men the priviliged and this is an example of clear violation of men's fundamental rights: bodily autonomy.

A ban on abortion is considered a violation of bodily autonomy because the woman keep the child for 9 month but paying for a child of another person is not considered violation of bodily autonomy ?!!

The man’s wife had given birth to the child in 2014, but it wasn't until two years later that it became known that he was not the biological father of the child. This resulted in the couple’s divorce; the man applied to have his paternity obligations scrapped and was denied.

The court ruled that he had applied for the abatement of his paternity obligation several months too late. According to the Finnish law, men have a window of up to two years to renounce paternity of a biologically unrelated child born in wedlock. The deadline could be extended, but only in exceptional cases.

The case has sparked a social media uproar, with many Finns finding the ruling unjust, siding with the man and demanding a defence of men' rights.

I always wondered why in situations like this they don't transfer CS obligations onto the guy she cheated with.
