If the word sexualize means "to make sexual", then our society sexualizes boys from the moment we tell them it's "inappropriate" for them to use the same restroom / locker room as women.

Well, yeah, don't mention at all the outfits people dress their little girls up for dance and cheerleading. My sister bragged to me about my niece winning a costume contest at a public Halloween function. I thought, "cool". I see the pictures and she's dressed to resemble a tiktok thot or your typical "Mean Girls movie" Halloween costume. My niece is nine years old.

I took her to task about it and argued about how it's not just a man's responsibility with regard to sexual objectification. She couldn't grasp that women(even young girls sadly) have a fundamental biological ability to stir sexual hormones in men to the point of physical attraction AND that because of this fact, they have an obligation to do their own part to measure it. Nope, to her it's just gross men sexualizing women and girls and anything she does or the girl does is irrelevant.

Meanwhile, in cheer competitions all across the world now, nine-year-olds are dressed in tight spandex bottoms, tight sports bras, exposed stomachs, and plenty of splits for all to see. Their parents, usually women, will post pictures of their elementary age daughters in the most provocative positions and videos of body gyrations so typical of rap videos; the variety that lead to your typical tiktok thot getting thousands of "likes" - only these aren't just the 13-17 olds that you will find on tiktok, these are oftentimes prepubescent girls with a parent run account(mostly mothers).

I brought this up on kotakuinaction2 when they were complaining about the trans movement sexualizing children, but it fell on deaf ears and massive downvotes. They couldn't accept that conservative parents all across the south are sexualizing their own children by dressing them up in titillating poses and costumes.

Anyway, the discussion of this topic is so far from the mainstream. I don't know if I've ever heard anyone bring it up.
