As I read through the posts on here recently, I have noticed a trend, and want to address it.
There is a lot of cynicism and anger, apathy and dismissal rooted in a lot of the writings on here. In truth, Red Pill at its best can completely change your life for the better when taken seriously and worked at diligently. But there is another side of that coin, and many men, young and old, fall trap to it.
The single hardest point to get past through all of this is the anger phase. The feelings of betrayal and shame that accompany the pulling back of the veil are insanely potent and if not put in check or made aware of, entirely consuming.
This stage is so resonant because human beings, never mind just men, are hard wired to avoid and hate failure. But in recognizing and accepting the Red Pill, you are at the same time acknowledging your failures as both a human being, and a man. And when you recognize it's YOU who let all of this happen, being tricked, believing in shit too good to be true, you begin to find a way to put blame on anything and everything that led you to that point. Because how could special ol' you be so stupid and so blind?
Then you begin to see everything the way it ACTUALLY is around you and you hate the forces that keep this reality in motion. The weak men who prop up the entitled women, the powers to be using ancients systems to keep you in your place. You want nothing more than to tear it all down and build things as they're supposed to be in its place.
This cycle is a bitch to handle and I see, like me, a lot of guys struggling with it. In a sense, it feels GOOD to be angry. But as your journey continues, you have to find a way out of this mindset. Have to. No other choice. The choices are you have to or you have to. It took me a long time to find out how to do that.
I've been in the military for 12 years. Been stationed all over the world and am currently working with one of the most elite Special Operations forces in the world. .
The training we had to go through to be stationed here allowed me to find the answer .
SERE is a motherfucker. For those who don't know, it stands for Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape, and it's a class built on learning the psychology of how to struggle without breaking to ensure your survival when captured or at risk of capture by enemy forces. The class culminates in a week long evolution where you are starved, beaten, sleep deprived, forced to do humiliating acts, interrogated, etc.
This command I'm currently at, I fought tooth and nail to get stationed here. And I knew that coming here meant that I was going to go through some shit. But my last job was miserable in a different way. Death by boredom, death by unnecessary stresses, shitty bosses, and meaningless work.
When I was going through the final evolution at SERE, I was at peace and happy to be there. No amount of being stripped naked, punches, freezing weather, headaches, starvation could stop me from getting to where I needed to be. While people around me were freaking out and melting down, I found my zen, and for a week, my fucking PURPOSE. Make it to the next evolution. Make it to the next sunrise. The next sunset. One ass beating at a time.
When it was all over, we were given a small ceremony, a pat on the back, and then sent on our way. And I remember on the drive home, that feeling of elation I had. I had reached a goal through struggle, immense struggle. And I finally recognized that is where your purpose comes from.
Your ability to struggle for something you find valuable is the key to getting out of the anger phase. You must find your purpose and struggle unapologetically to get there.
The more you struggle, the greater the purpose. The greater the purpose, the more you will struggle.
Struggle is the currency of a meaningful life. It is at the root of who we are as humans. Your despair and anger is you recognizing you have struggled for the wrong reasons. So find the things you will struggle for and get to work.
