Hi ladies! I’m new to the group. Hope it’s okay to post and ask your opinions about my relationship situation.

I’m a 33F, divorced a year and an half ago. I’ve been dating a 40M for about 11 months. He is a successful small business owner, though has been having business struggles due to covid. He has a 9 year old son who is very sweet. He is also divorced. He treats me very well: pays for dinner, makes coffee and breakfast every morning that I stay at his place, buys flowers for me. Lots of swoon.

The caveat is that every once in a while (I’d say every other month) he freaks out a bit about being a father and balancing that with having a girlfriend. He’s never mean or rude but asks for space. And I don’t disagree that space is good because we spend a lot of time together, but I worry that this will continue and that he will never reconcile our relationship in context of him being a father.

Any thoughts or advice or personal experiences welcome!
