Yeah it’s a bit dumb I didn’t establish this before we met up but when we went on our first date I literally had no expectations and was not expecting to see him ever again based on my history with bad first dates. Anyway, our first date went really well and he asked me out again before it ended.

We’ve been on three dates so far (fourth scheduled for later this week) and he’s been making time for me even though he’s busy. He kissed me on the second date but I told him I wanted to take it slow, which he was fine with. He’s very respectful of my physical boundaries and makes sure I’m comfortable. He seems genuinely interested in me as a person and attracted to me both physically and intellectually. We text pretty regularly between dates and he’s always the one to reach out first (I don’t talk to him unless he does).

Right now I’d say we’re casually dating but I’m not sure where it’s going. I’m not interested in dating him if it’s not going to lead to a relationship, but I don’t know how to bring up what he’s looking for at this point. I’m definitely not going to ask him for exclusivity (since he’s the one who should ask me) but I just want to make sure I’m not wasting my time going out with him if he’s not looking for a relationship.

To be clear, I am talking to other people (and he may be too, I don’t know) but I definitely get along with him the best and have spent the most time with him (since he’s been consistently asking me and actually taking me out).
