the arguments against women registering for the draft are so thin that this is what you ALWAYS see, an immediate retreat into misinformation and non sequitur arguments.

"Draft" does not mean "Combat", the vast majority of people drafted during wartime are non combat support positions.

and he's making the unstated, and dishonest, premise that a draft somehow means a complete lack of standards, that well we've got no choice...we drafted a 98lb woman, so she's gotta carry an M60 into combat now.

You've got to laugh: all male units perform best, so women shouldn't be drafted, but they should still have the same rights to volunteer. Blind in one eye or what?

I personally believe that they should have all exclusively male units and female units.

The Selective Service needs to be abolished. A lot of people don't realize that it was abolished after the Vietnam War, but reinstated in 1980 due to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
