Join a club.

Something like Brazilian Jujitsu would be great, because it's a situation where people learn from failure, rather than being shielded from it.

Also, it's a great skill to have.

Sometimes people will respect the integrity even of a position they disagree with if you don't start every conversation with a lecture about it. In fact once they know this is how you feel they might even start thinking of it just when you're around without you having to say a word. At that point more can be less. One thing about women is that when you say this stuff to them they tend to take it as a personal attack on themselves whereas other men don't, even though both sexes are part of the problem. So with a girl make sure you don't use "you" words if you want to remain friends and avoid saying "women do this". It's hard to take criticism and that's fine arguing on the internet but if you want a relationship (platonic) people want to feel you respect them. Feeling you're the only person who thinks a certain way can be tough, but you can always read this sub for that.

You're in a university setting. Look for friends outside of the university or at another US state, preferably a more conservative one.
