Been dating this girl for about 7 months now, and because of summer we're not gonna see each other for 2 months - I'm off travelling.

I like the girl and don't feel that I could have a non-exclusive relationship with her, so I said (and she agreed keenly) that we remain together, exclusively, while we are apart. I'm more than happy to do this as I value the emotional connection more than I value getting with other girls - I have no doubt in my ability to get other girls, I don't need to be fucking other chicks to not lose that self-confidence.

The issue I've run into is texting. I've been having a great time out here, and was telling her about what I was doing. She sent me a rather blunt reply to what was quite a long text from me, so I sent her a shorter one in response. There wasn't much in what I sent, but she nevertheless didn't respond. Its been 2 days now, and I'm wondering what to do. Should I send her a text of something interesting I heard the other day that I want to tell her about, or should I just wait for her to text me.

I don't want to seem needy or desperate, as while we are apart I know I need a strong frame.

Advice for texting norms with an LTR?
