Divorce Pep Talk for Men - What will life be like after divorce?

As a recently divorced man with two young kids. I can say this man is about 90-95% accurate. The financial hit you take is big at 1st. I'm only officially divorced 5 months and here is what I can say.

1) My physical health has improved dramatically. When I'm not with my kids after work, I spent hours at the gym.

2) I'm in my mid 40's getting tail from women my age and younger. I feel like I'm in my 20's.

3) When you spend time with your kids, it's ACTUALLY quality time because you don't have the witch there interfering and hijacking the time you have with your kids.

4) I have reconnected with friends and family. My social life has improved dramatically. I have so many new friends.

5) I am happier now. No more fighting with Satan.

6) My X Satan is 2 years younger than me, she looks like she's in her mid 50's and has packed on some pounds. Meanwhile, people don't believe me when I tell them I'm in my mid 40's. They think I'm at most 35.

7) Divorce is expensive. Half of your shit will go to her. I don't pay alimony because she didn't qualify for it. Her lawyer tried to get me to pay and my lawyer stopped it. They ran the formula with the referee and didn't qualify. I pay child support for now, but that will change.

Everything this man is saying at least for me was 90-95% on point for my situation.

Men, my advice to you is very simple. Before you file for divorce or you have been served by your wife. Is get a good lawyer. Read their reviews, go in for your free consultation. If you pick a lawyer and you feel they are doing shit for you, toss them ASAP!!! A good lawyer will take the time to explain everything to you. Yes, their time will cost you, but it will be worth it because you will be well prepared. Ask questions and tell them to explain things to you like you're a 5 year old.

Divorce is not easy and it's not fast. That shit takes time. Mine lasted about a year and a half due to COVID.

There will be times you will bump heads with your lawyer. That's expected, but stand firm on what you want. Again, a good lawyer will protect you. I was very lucky with mine. He was firm and aggressive.

I will tell you advice I heard from other men that went through a divorce. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I didn't believe it when I was in the middle of the shit show. But now that I came out the other end with a few scars, not too badly beat up. It does get better. You MUST and I repeat MUST take care of yourself mentally and physically. Hit the gym, that was and still is my place of Zen. When women start to notice you again it feels good.

You have to put in the work. You're not going to get into good health by staying home depressed doing shit. Pickup a new hobby. I started to play the bass guitar and loving it.

You will survive, you will get slapped around a lot during the divorce. Not going to lie. But every slap you get today will make you stronger tomorrow.

Focus on yourself and your kids. I promise you will be a better man once you walk through The Valley of Death.

The other piece of advice I will give you. Stay off the internet searching for what could possibly happen. You will read horror stories and drive yourself fucking nuts. My lawyers also advised me of that and it's true. It's similar to you googling a body ache. You could have a pain on your elbow and somehow by the time you're done trying to find out what it is, you determine that according to what you read on the internet, you have 5 more days to live, you have a rare form of cancer, your arm is going to fall off, you're going to go blind and so on. Stay off!!! Everyone's situation is DIFFERENT!!! It's also the internet, no one is going to give you the whole story.

Take aways from what I went through...NEVER FUCKING MARRY AGAIN!!!!

You will recover. Right now is a very low point in your life, but time will heal you. You just have to do your part by being active. Get in the gym, join a class, begin a hobby and reinvent yourself. Don't live your life depending on others to love you. Suffering is choice.
