The drama is a foreign series that involves two main characters, let’s call them Elise and Harry.

Elise and Harry meet in a freak accident and it’s “love at first sight.” He quickly courts her, and they get married in secret after a month of knowing each other - his family has a lot of psychological issues and would collapse if they found out he was getting married, and her guardian wouldn’t approve of a marriage that fast.

On the surface, early on in their courtship, he comes across as a HVM. He’s tall, handsome, a successful CEO/business owner, thoughtful with gifts, etc.

But as the series as gone on, it turns out that Harry… is insane:

  • he’s still obsessed with his grade school teacher and has kept her scarf 20+ years later, which he ties around the neck of a MANNEQUIN who he then has conversations with

  • he’s upset that Elise still works at the same company as her ex bf, and so he first tries to “buy” her a new job at a more prestigious company. When she says no, he then tries to purchase the company she works at so he can fire the ex bf

  • he almost chokes Elise’s estranged father to death

  • he finally runs the ex bf out of town by kidnapping him and pretending like he was gonna kill him to scare him

  • he makes a lot of decisions w/o confiding in her

Series hasn’t ended yet, but so far it’s been a good reminder to vet and then vet some more
