I am really astonished by how the society treats men and women so differently. The women are talked to so politely and respect while no one cares about the way they talk while they talk to men.

Today, I saw this happening with me. I was returning home from my schools and I usually take a metro to go back home. So while I was at the station, the ticket handler asked me for a twenty rupee note as my metro ticket fare but I didn't have any change, so I handed him a fifty rupee note expecting a change in return. As I handed him that fifty rupee, he went so angry and talked to me so rudely and asked me to get a change and he didn't even hand me the ticket. How am I supposed to get a change in the middle of metro station?? I asked him I cannot get a change, so he just shoved me away saying that he won't give me the ticket. It was getting so late and that guy was so disrespectful. So I moved out of the ticket queue. The next person in line was a woman and she wasn't having any change either. So she also handed out the money she had and that ticket handler gives her the change! And I am like WHAT THE FUCK! He gave her the ticket without asking for the exact money! And me, who was getting late, he didn't even budge for a change.

This was so unfair. He talked so rudely to me and moved me away and didn't even give me the ticket until I arranged for the change. Either he should have asked that woman to arrange for a change from somewhere or should have handed me the change as well. Fuck it... Why can't we treated as equals!
