Hi all,

  • Met a girl through a friend but since family was around didn't speak to her. I then asked my friend for her number, which he gave me the next day. He said that she told him that she's not looking for a relationship, just friendship. I said I'm OK with that.

  • The first time we go out to the bar, and she's talking a lot and we're both having fun. She tells me all the fun stuff she's done before immigrating here.

  • We meet up for a second time and I suggest we go for a walk. This time she's a lot quieter and isn't speaking much. I put my hand around her waist for a bit, and she seems to be OK with it. Then I hold her hand and she's ok with it also. We then go to a bar and she's quiet but asks me to talk and brings up random conversations like my horoscope signs. But clearly she's a lot less talkative than last time. I say a few things and she laughs so conversation went O.K.

  • On the way back to the car, I put my arm around her waist and then lean in on a kiss on the lips, and she kisses me back. After we're done kissing, she's like "do you want to talk about what happened? I'm not looking for a relationship I just got out of it a short while ago". I said that's fine but ask why she was ok holding hands and she said she likes "touch" and that she used to hold her guy friend's hands before too.

  • Anyways, I drop her home, and text her 3 days later to meetup but she said she's out somewhere and can't. At this point I thought it was pretty much over.

  • She initiates texts 2 days after saying "What's up". I don't message right away so she sends me another text saying "I was home alone and wanted to invite you for dinner but now my parents are coming back so can't chill anymore". This was a pleasant surprise. We text a little bit back and forth and I ask her "What's your plan tomorrow/next few days" and she says "I'll let you know". And I haven't heard back from her.

I am confused as to what this girl is thinking? How should I be proceeding to this? I do like her but am struggling reading her cues.
