They decide that they want out of the marriage/relationship with the whore and don't want to carry on raising another man's child. The courts in this case give him a spectacular "Congratulations! You are the father! You will continue being the father and you will continue paying for the kids upbringing, until they turn 18 years old".

In cases of paternity fraud, if the mother wants you gone, you will be gone. If she doesn't and she wants you to carry on being the father because you funding her life is more important, you will be stuck being the father. Always get a DNA test right after birth. Do not sign the birth certificate before you get confirmation that you are definitely the father.

Also in the good old US of A I believe this poor dude is still going to have to continue paying child support even though he isn’t the father to a) prevent the state from having to pay in his place and b) I think the state actually take’s it’s slice of that money too.
