FWB has cold sore

A FWB I have been seeing for about 5 months has a cold sore. He immediately somewhat said he thought I gave it to him which I am unsure… as we know herpes can be spread through various ways (hsv1).

I do not have a cold sore at this current time. I told him I will be getting tested, and he said he would be doing the same but then changed his mind. I told him I will share my results with him once I get them and he said he doesn’t really care to see them. I guess I’m just confused, do we not have a due diligence to future partners and to each other to know? We are no longer sleeping together due to other reasons.

When we were sexually exclusive he exhibited some behaviors that were questionable which I’m now wondering if I stupidly looked past them. His hinge location was changing, and he tried meeting up with a co-worker of mine after we agreed to be exclusive ( sexually).

It does not matter because herpes is very complex but I have been with less than 5 people but you can get it through simply sharing a drink. Anyway, my appt has been made. But is him not getting tested or wanting to see my results weird? I’m just feeling really bad..and afraid he looks at me differently now.
