The ideal method is to have your main chick while spinning girls on the side if possible.

I prefer to date and have a backup i can go back to if things go sour then jump ship again since I'm not big on cheating if she declares we're monogamous and it's much less drama/risk for me.

Date as many women as you can non-exclusively.

This way you can find out what you like and what kinds of women you should avoid.
