I've read a lot of stuff about feminist brainwashing, and I am not trying to suggest that taking feminism too seriously and putting women on a pedestal is the right move, but it seems like a lot of other factors are being ignored in terms of how and why men turn into betas.

Most TRP commenters seem pretty clear on why being a 'nice guy' doesn't get you what you want, the same way a girl wouldn't get what she wanted out of a relationship by giving guys whatever they wanted. She would get used and cast aside like a fleshlight. The female version of the pump and dump is the inverse – orbiting.

So why do guys (and girls) end up being so 'nice' (immediately giving up all their bargaining chips) in the first place?

It has a lot to do with desperation, lack of confidence, depression, etc. It's not just because a guy took a class on feminism or learned feminist ideals through pop culture. Betas have always existed in society. The alpha dominates and fucks who he wants. The betas submit and make themselves useful in order to survive.

The reality is that getting what you want in life increases your confidence and enhances your ability to achieve your ambitions, while losing makes you more likely to lose again. An experiment revealed that winning or losing even impacts your testosterone level: “mean testosterone level increased in the fans of winning teams and decreased in the fans of losing teams. These findings suggest that watching one's heroes win or lose has physiological consequences that extend beyond changes in mood and self-esteem.”

It’s not like betas didn’t exist before the feminist movement took off in the 60s. There is an evolutionary explanation for depression and beta behaviour:

"Rank theory proposes that depression is an adaptive response to losing rank and conceiving of oneself as a loser. The adaptive function of the depression, according to rank theory, is to facilitate losing and to promote accommodation to the fact that one has lost. In other words, the depressive state evolved to promote the acceptance of the subordinate role and the loss of resources which can only be secured by holding higher rank in the dominance hierarchy. The function of this depressive adaptation is to prevent the loser in a status conflict from suffering further injury and to preserve the stability and competitive efficiency of the group by maintaining social homeostasis."

How does this all connect to TRP? It’s not just about women and feminism. It’s about setting goals for yourself, being dedicated and achieving them to increase your confidence so you can perpetuate the cycle. How does this relate to being successful with women? Being alpha is about confidence, about believing you can get what you want and going for it rather than just trying to support the tribe like a beta and focussing on giving everyone else what they want. Based on what TRP has told us about what women actually crave, this will end up giving them what they want anyway.
