What is mgotow

Ok so for anybody who is interested in what mgtow is, this comes from somebody who is mgtow

It stands for men going their own way

We only have a few rules, which to be fair aren't hard and fast rules, each man choses for himself

No marriage

No cohabitation

Do not raise another man's child

Do not support women with time or resources

You are the sovereign of your life, in control of it and responsible for it, success is by your hand so is failure, you are not a victim.

These rules apply in a very loose form, there are many mgtow I know who are married and know if this one fails they won't marry again.

There are many mgtow who we call monks, they have totally opted out of society and have buggered off into the woods.

There are the greatest number of mgtow like myself who date women but refuse the idea of marriage or living together due to laws being what they are.

Living with a woman in many parts of the world carries the risk the state can claim a marriage of sorts and then a breakup often leaves you liable for costs well into the future.

Getting married, well if you're a man and don't know the laws as they apply in your country you should, but when men in their country do find out the laws most reject marriage anyway.

Look at it this way, divorce rates are between 50-60% of all marriages in the west, 80% of those are started by the wife, 97% custody is awarded to the wife automatically leaving the father having to pay thousands just to get to court to ask for access.

We say awalt meaning all women are like that, of course not all women are like that but given women don't wear a badge telling you their intentions, given social media is awash with messages telling women they should be like that and government uses divorce as a way of actually making money it's best to treat any woman as though she is like that until she has proven otherwise.

Let's ask the men of this sub then, would you buy a car where the moment you've signed the contract the car will break down on its own decision 50-60% of the time. If it does you will loose the car no matter how well you treat the car. The car can decide it no longer wants you as the driver and if it does you'll have to go to court, the costs of this are at least half your income, half your pension.

Would you buy that car, of course not so why sign a contract to get married when the costs are so much worse.

Think also on this point, every man who goes through divorce, every man who's ever gone through a divorce whether he treated his wife well or not always thought she'd never do that to me.

That's what mgtow really is, taking a logical cost benefit analysis of the state of relationships and the state of the world and choosing a different way to live, not accepting the rules society places on people to get married, to start a family or to support the children of another man..

So the biggest question here is this, why is this acceptable for women but not for men.

Edit: just a side note because so many men popping in here while not using the label mgtow will most likely agree with to a certain extent.

Many like to label us a hate group. Sure we get some men finding mgtow who are still in what we call the red pill rage phase, these are generally men who followed the script, went to school, got educated, met and married a woman, worked the 80 hours a week, put their hopes and dreams into a box, took her hopes and dreams as their own and made it their mission to make them a reality. They followed the rules, obeyed the social contract and found out for doing that they got reamed, by the courts, by governments who said it's fair to demand you die for us and we take everything from you, and because you're male you're automatically an evil rapist even if it's just in waiting.

So naturally they are angry and pissed off, most men never get a place to vent that anger, then we all wonder why another shopping mall is on the news for another shooting.

Does this mean all mgtow are good, no absolutely not, we call out shit men when we meet them.

We give guys a place to vent because usually any mental health services are geared towards helping women not men or blaming men not understanding and certainly not helping the way they need to be helped.

For nearly all mgtow when we have worked through that rage, found another purpose to our lives, learned to live and navigate the new world with unspoken new rules we were never aware of, we find peace, contentment and roll forward with our lives, we don't ask anything of anyone, we don't ask anything of government, nobody can negotiate with us because we have no political aims, we have no leadership to negotiate with, what one man wants another cannot abide.

We do not support a society we see as yours, it's your world we just occupy a small section. We refuse to fight and die for your society, it's your society after all so you must maintain it, we're done with it, done with sacrificing ourselves to be told we are wrong for doing so and wrong for refusing, at least the refusing means we have control over lives.

We just want peace, laughter, friends and to live free, we don't attack others, we live our lives and if asked were usually honest and will say yes that's what we are but we make no announcements, what you do, how you choose to live might be madness to us but it's your choice to make, your life will not harm mine so do as you will.

What about that philosophy is hateful, what about that is harmful.

I don’t think MGTOW is a long term solution unless you don’t mind being lonely and childless.

Best move to a developing country without these drawbacks once you have the cash.

I think I’m fairly clear on the MGTOW outlook toward relationships with women. What would you say is the general MGTOW outlook toward interpersonal relationships in general?
