"You are the prize" mentality isn't necessarily about focusing on your mission. It refers to the assumption that you are the high value man she's been wanting to find. We assume we are high value and that the girl should want us, not that it's a toss up whether she's interested or not. This necessarily forces you do reject any objective belief about yourself and just act. "What if I'm not the prize?" Wrong. The better question is how should I behave, and behaving as if you are the prize is preferable in every situation.
