Because the sexual marketplace is just that. Supply and demand.

When demand is high, the supply will be high priced and low quality. When demand is low, suppliers will tighten quality to compete.

Due to the 80/20 rule, you will see the top 20% of guys pull in the majority of pussy. The top 5% way more than their share. And women will go crazy for the top fraction of a percent.

You will hear about guys who have been single (in the no-girlfriend sense) for years all the time - these are most often the bottom 80%. Women do not have that problem. The bottom 80% get dicked and no commitment, and find a boyfriend someplace else. Why would they give a fuck, they took a high aim, missed, and some chump happily caught them on the way down. Unless they were traumatized, you will rarely hear about girls who stayed single for years on end and none who wanted to find someone.

If you were a girl, you could be literally retarded and as long as you don't look it, will find a guy with ease. The guy will even think himself a hero for his noble act. If you flip the script and be a guy who is retarded but doesn't look it, good luck -- all a girl will think is that she's with an f-ing retard, jump ship.

BTW, there are guys that have standards. They're just rarer, they tend towards having abundance of choice and know how to chase tail and get it if they felt like it. They're not desperate.

tldr; Top men can be picky. The rest get leftovers. This is how we evolved. Nature does not care about "fairness", it rewards genetic winners.

Online dating is mostly geared toward matching up lower quality women with higher quality men. Unless you're 10/10 and have the body of a Greek god, you're going to consistently pull women who are not up to your standards.

For that reason, and the fact that I'm older and the algorithms want to match me up with women my age that I'm not attracted to, I don't do online dating.

The hottest of the hot girls (the ones you WANT), generally don't do online because they don't have to. They have an extensive social network and get hit on every single day. They won't be online.

When want the top 20 percent or less, that leaves 80 percent or more starved.

If you're starving you'll eat anything because hunger is the best seasoning.

Pretty simple economics.

I don't know why you guys bitch some much about this, I get it though, it's unfair, stupid and borderline insane, but once you're on the alpha widowing side of the issue, it's more of a benefit than a problem.

They're desperate enough to fuck anything with a vagina for a few reasons:

They are beta and feel lucky to be bestowed a wet hole to stick their dick into.
They don't know their own self worth or have shitty self-esteem, and will settle for whatever they can get. They will also be thanking the heavens for the blessing they received with the hambeast with clogged arteries or single mom.
Girls are showered with constant attention with social media and the current fem-centric society that pedestalizes every single female. This makes girls the choosers in the relationships, and whatever guy vying for their attention will feel blessed once he gets picked.
