So, if there is some sort of opportunity to strike up a conversation with a girl: she's doing something or has some notable like a clothing part, item or anything to make a joke or a comment on, the situation/event is just convenient for approaching and communicating, everything is pretty easy.

But what if a girl is simply there just pretty much doing nothing? At a bus stop, in a bar, in a bus, sitting on a bench etc. Just no good ideas what to do. I tried the "not overthinking" method, but after the initial hello usually nothing interesting pops into my head.

I have a naturally pretty calm attitude and voice, so some very quirky openings from me tend to sound stupid and forced.
