when i was younger i was a very unhappy person (depression, ptsd, self harming) had that "boohoo the whole world is against me" thing going on. i went through a fair amount of therapy and being told that i had to talk about my feeeelings, which lead to few desperately beta relationships.

after some growing up (and mma) things are really different, at first i thought i was trying to be all "hurrdurr no feelings, such manly" but i feel so much better this way. i never talk about what's going on with me and i just deal with shit that i need to, i get stressed sometimes when things go particularly wrong but i refuse to let myself give them any weight by bitching about it. i likening it to that matt damon film where he's stuck on mars and just has to solve one problem then the next until he gets to where he needs to be.

i feel generally pretty good but sometimes i wonder if there's a reason people preach about "processing emotions" by talking/venting? like am i more susceptible to illness or mental breakdowns?
