A person can get out of it. But like any addiction or cult… it may be hard not to fall back into it during times of stress or worry. Like if there is a challenge in the relationship, a person might feel they don’t know how to deal with it in a healthy way, and fall back on the red pill way of doing things. Or if they get scared or feel vulnerable. They would have to make a concerted effort not to try and use manipulation to try and “get things back on track”

Yes and No. You can always recover from an ideology in theory, but it depends on the person.

Some people are more drawn to it than others though. If you already had misogynistic ideas, bought into conservativism (really more traditionalism), or have a strong sense of logic but are bad at seeing false premises... Then it's going to be harder for you to leave. Those sorts of people can get in too deep to leave because their so drawn to it in the first place. There's a chance to get them out early, but if they don't leave early they'll just engrain themselves in it until they can't leave.

Other people might get into it really deep, but always be able to leave. It might take a lot, probably a sustained contact with an entirely different set of people in their life, but eventually they can let go of that lens and build a different lens through which to see the world.

A lot of it is lies. But a lot of it is truth. There’s a lot of truth in people just being terrible in general.

And the more you recognize people being terrible the more you get jaded and cynical. They say the divorce rate is up, right? Know what else is high? Drunk driving deaths, murder, crime. People being terrible.

I think it’s important to recognize red flags so you can protect yourself. It’s just part of growing up. Your government isn’t a shining paragon of excellence. And your neighbors may be terrible people.

All you can do is decide to be a difference. Be better than those around you. It’s true you’ll never see the world the same with the eyes of an innocent child. But you can still find happiness.

Nothing is impossible. People have left cults after years of brain washing and recover its hard, but they do. The fact is you have to be willing to make a change and if your brain reverts back to "redpill thinking" you need to adress it.

Hypothetically speaking yes but you’d have to do some highly messed up stuff in relation to your views.

Even psychopaths and sociopaths can get the help needed to climb out of the rabbit hole they dug up and redeem themselves.
