Why is this and should I go for it (as in try flirting/escelating) in these situations?

Cologne, soap, deodorant companies don't make bank telling us we're fine without using their products. If you are getting "buy" signals from women, then escalate and close. If they go "Eeew! You STINK!" and don't fuck you then you are no worse of then if you begged off because you were afraid of your "B.O.".
