The consequences so far have only been financial. Someone needs to be held accountable for the lies. If it wasn't for the police investigation it would have been much worse

This kind of victimisation of families is more frequently directed at male family members, because the entrenched culture of misandry, and unconscious bias of health care workers against men and boys , renders these kinds of claims credibility.

Without the entrenched culture of misandry that infests our health care and social service industries, these kinds of injustices would be less prevalent.

the person making the false accusations( a carer) should have been removed from the care industry and prosecuted. There is a breach of the duty of care act just by harming the person in care indirectly and deliberately.

all care and support workers face prosecution for any actions or inactions that can cause harm( I'm in this industry and its why there is so much stress for workers)
