Society is hypocritical because they tell men that they cannot tell women to have realistic standards, but shame men themselves for having any standards themselves.

Something I've noticed is that society allows women to have whatever standards they want, no matter how unrealistic, and shame men for telling women they are delusional, while at the same time shame men for having any standards when it comes to women.

A good example is that most people see women's standards as empowering. That a woman demanding a tall, educated, high earning makes the woman herself very valuable. This is nonsense. one's value has no correlation to the standards one imposes. Value is determined by personal quality, not the standards you hold OTHER PEOPLE to.

Where as most people see men with standards as being entitled. A man could say he only wants to date a woman with a low count, or that he prefers women without a degree compared to women with "dubious" degrees that don't teach any skills in college, but are just glorified indoctrination courses. (e.g. sociology). Most people would call this man insecure, when in reality he isn't even holding women to hardly any standards at all. In fact, most men hold women to the bare minimum IMO and STILL get called insecure for that.
