I have relatives visiting soon and the grandpa had been talking crap about my mom to all relatives in other countries.

He is my mom’s stepsister’s husband.

He is an old, decrepit and fat piece of garbage. Always has a scowl on his face. He is old school and is crapping on my mom for leaving my dad. My dad is abusive and my mom had every right to leave, she got cancer from the stress of the marriage and she was deeply unhappy and afraid and controlled by my dad. Yet all the relatives cast HER out and coddle my dad.

This grandpa’s son, is an okay guy, he works hard for his family. But he ended up saying to my mom, “my wife can do all the cooking in the kitchen, you can sit down.” My mom was surprised. She said “why would I make her cook for us? She is on vacation!” So clearly, he sees his wife as a cooking and cleaning slave. I thought he was decent but I am doubting that now.

What do I do if this ugly grandpa craps on my mom in our company or treats her poorly? They are coming for a week…
