Don't compliment someone on there god damn looks. Compliment someone on something they have worked hard for or value very highly.

This will hit ALOT harder and they will probably think about it for days following. But don't compliment for the sake of a reaction.

Nothing wrong with giving compliments as long as they are genuine. People can tell when you're being fake. Don't be fake.

You're over thinking it, what you say during the approach really doesn't matter, it's how you say it and your body language. Compliments are generally not a great opener, weak game, and they probably get that all the time. I avoid anything that validates during openers. Just say anything really, you'll know in seconds if she's interested. I usually keep things superficial and not personal, talk about the place you're at together, or what she's drinking if at a bar, something that relates to the activity you are mutually doing at that time. I've had success just walking up and saying 'Hi'.

Yeah don't compliment off the bat like that. It's typical! Those girls get told that every day HB7+. Instead same some shit that would surprise her. Some bitch in the gym? Instead of saying "You have nice legs, are you a fitness trainer?" Say some shit like, "You seem very controlled with a peace of mind while you're doing that exercise, do you practice yoga?" This will make her feel like you're actually paying attention to her with your head, and not your other head.
