I hope the Depp case is a Turing point, if false accusers and those who blindly support them aren’t held legally responsible, litigation is the way to go then. Great to hear her apologies but a little too late don’t you think, after he resigned and got dragged through the dirt.

He must've posed some serious threat to the status quo. The accusation was blatantly flimsy but that's all they need to knock him out of the picture.

And I am not at all a Liberal supporter. I just loathe this slimy backhanded way of doing things that ruins people no matter the outcome.

This is why any wrongdoing that attracts a punishment should be passed through the justice system, to achieve the principles of justice for both parties, not passed through the local lynch mob for trial by media and public, which ignores due process and the importance of "innocent until proven guilty" in favour of "guilty as alleged".

What use is an apology to a man who has been punished, for something he has not been proven to have done in a manner consistent with any other crime?

Justice is being allowed to languish in favour of knee-jerk emotional responses.
