Petition to the Lord Chief Justice of the UK to re-open the Depp v Sun case in the UK

I’ve seen many articles address the difference between a jury trial and a single judge ruling. What I thought was so interesting to read here was the difference in discovery and how that influenced what was and wasn’t herd at trial.

The reason to petition makes sense to me. While the suit was against “The Sun”, Heard was the opponent so given the discovery limitations Depp’s legal team was essentially fighting a battle with one hand tied behind their back.

It’s really too bad most articles addressing the differences between the cases omit this important difference.
