Firstly, why do I think this? Experience. Most people don't really follow feminism to closely, but I've seen how feminists defend women who murder men. Feminists defended and demanded the early release of Sally Challen, who traveled 70 miles to kill her ex husband on "self defense." (She's been released)

Feminists defended Lorena Bobbitt, feminists defended Cynthia Brown who bragged about murdering a man, Donna Hylton was a speaker at the Women's March- she helped torture and murder a man in the 80s, never expressed remorse, and claims she was only imprisoned due to "misogyny."

It is routine to see feminist organizations support gendered laws on prison reform and violence, it is routine to see feminists defend women who kill men. Had George Floyd been murdered by a female partner, his life would have "mattered" a lot less to many of the people protesting.

You can take my word for this or not, it's not required to change my view. That said, can I change my view? What would it take?

Direct examples. Show me articles, quotes, posts, from feminist figures/organizations suggesting the contrary. Convince the mods of feminist subreddits to pin a post condemning female murderers, and calling for equal consequences in the criminal justice system.

Note- I know there will be many self-identified feminists who don't think this way and already agree with me. The problem are with the more "professional" feminists- the political organizations, academics, major figure heads, etc.

As for why I say it would be a "humourous" story, you can see this on reddit. Up until very recently, in almost any thread about a woman committing violence against a man, the top comments would be a joke or "funny" comment. This is changing, albeit slowly. It's why the Johnny Depp story is such a big deal, it represents a monumental shift in public perception...it's a shame people are "surprised" or "just realizing" it can happen, and a shame that it took a celebrity to make it happen, but still.
